How do I install Metaprompt?
Add it from the Chrome Web Store. Once installed, highlight any text on any web page and a small icon appears above your selection. Click it to get an answer.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free account. Sign in with a 6-digit code we email you (no password) from the Account page, then highlight away.
How much does it cost?
It's free to use. Your first 5 answers come back instantly; after that free answers still work, they just wait in a short queue. Pro is $9/month for unlimited instant answers and unlimited screenshots.
How do screenshots work?
Open the extension and click "Take a screenshot". Drag a box around anything on the page, or click once to capture the whole screen, and you'll get an answer about what's in it. Useful for charts, diagrams, and questions that aren't selectable text.
How many screenshots do I get?
Free accounts get 10 screenshots in total. After that you can keep using text highlights for free, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited screenshots.
Why isn't the icon showing up?
Make sure you're on a normal web page (not the Chrome Web Store, chrome:// settings, or a PDF viewer). Try refreshing the page. If you just installed the extension, reload any tabs that were already open.
Is my data safe?
We only send the text you highlight (plus a little page context), or the screenshot you choose to take, and we store your answers so you can see them in History. Screenshots are stored privately and only you can view them. We don't track your browsing and never capture your screen in the background. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Email us at hello@rjbernaldo.com and we'll delete your account, answer history, and any screenshots you've taken.
