Metaprompt is a Chrome extension that answers text you highlight on web pages. By installing it or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

You sign in with your email via a magic link. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure. One account per person.

Don't use Metaprompt to break the law, abuse the service, attempt to overload or reverse engineer it, or generate harmful or infringing content. We may suspend accounts that do.

Metaprompt is a study and comprehension tool. It is not intended for use during any exam, test, quiz, or assessment where outside assistance isn't permitted — including proctored, invigilated, remotely-monitored, and timed assessments.

You are solely responsible for knowing and following the rules of any school, university, certification body, employer, or platform you use Metaprompt alongside. Those rules override anything this service allows technically. If using it would breach an academic integrity policy, exam condition, honour code, or terms of another platform, don't use it there.

We don't monitor your assessments and can't tell whether a given page is one. Any academic, professional, disciplinary, or legal consequence of using Metaprompt where it wasn't permitted is yours, not ours. We may suspend accounts we believe are being used this way, and we may respond to reports from institutions.

Metaprompt is free to use, with a limited number of instant answers and screenshots; beyond that, answers are queued and remain free. Pro removes the queue and the limits. Billing is handled by Stripe, renews until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time from your account.

Answers are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Don't rely on them for professional, legal, medical, or financial decisions. You're responsible for how you use the output.

We provide the service "as is" and may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.

To the extent permitted by law, Metaprompt is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
